Soup of the Month- Sweet & Sour Sauerkraut Soup
1 ½ gallon water
Chicken base – 1/3 cup
Ham Base 1/3 Cup
1 ½  cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 yellow onion diced
1 rutabaga diced
4 cups diced celery or half of a bunch
1 head cabbage- chopped
2 or 3  cups sauerkraut
Bacon chopped 10 strips
Roast pork diced 4 cups
Polish sausage diced 4 cups
Diced potatoes (fresh red are good) 8 cups
Bring to a low boil and Cook till rutabaga is cooked through (about 40 minutes)
Add 4 cups diced carrots (frozen)
If Fresh Carrots add at beginning of cooking process
Simmer on stove for 20 minutes
Season with white pepper, Mrs Dash, parsley flakes, powdered garlic
